Ba Hons Photography Degree Course
During the twentieth century, both nice artwork photography and documentary photography became accepted by the English-speaking art world and the gallery system. In the United States, a handful of photographers, together with Alfred Stieglitz, Edward Steichen, John Szarkowski, F. Holland Day, and Edward Weston, spent their lives advocating for photography as a fine art. At first, fantastic art photographers tried to imitate painting styles. This movement known as Pictorialism, often utilizing gentle focus for a dreamy, ‘romantic’ look.
Our studios are outfitted with state-of-the-art DSLR, medium format digital and video cameras. Students also work with advanced strobe and LED studio/location lighting. Sheridan’s labs have advanced shows and printers, the complete Adobe Creative Cloud software program suite and Capture One Pro software. But most of Werman’s professional life has been focused on journalism, spanning radio, television, print, digital and documentary photography.
